How to Use private messages

A private message permits members to communicate privately in the context of a conversation. As the messages are shown in the channel, they're not sent by SMS to the contact. They remain a little note in the midst of the text conversation to help you make an email about the proceedings yourself and other members. It could be useful to ask a concern to some other member and get an answer without leaving the page. For solo plans, you can record actions taken or conclusions after a conversation is finished.

Several notes on private messages: privatemessage can be found for all subscription plans
The username, profile picture and a time stamp is likely to be displayed with the private message message to show which user added the private message
Utilize the @ symbol to mention a member in a personal note. The active members names will show above the text box, you can choose a person from the list.

private messages don't count towards your total monthly SMS/MMS allowance

Creating a personal note
It's easy! You should use the global 'Create' button from anywhere in the application to take a private message:

Since private messages come in essence regular messages, you can decide to generally share them with whomever you'd like, crafting the privacy settings to your needs.

For instance, it may seem sensible to talk about the note above with Stan. In the event you wanted to write anything that's very personal and should not be visible to Stan, you can take two notes: One for your own personel eyes only, and one that's distributed to Stan.

Revisiting Notes
Underneath the performance review form there's a case that highlights data from within Small Improvements. All of your messages about Stan will automatically arrive underneath Stan's performance review form.
